Services

At Elevate Literacy Therapy, we provide science-based literacy instruction for students who need explicit, structured support to become confident readers. Services are individualized, skill-focused, and designed to help students make steady, meaningful progress.

We work with students from second grade through adulthood, including those with dyslexia and other persistent reading challenges.

1:1 Literacy Therapy

One-on-one literacy therapy provides individualized instruction tailored to your child’s specific reading needs. Sessions focus on building foundational skills using structured, evidence-based approaches.

Areas of instruction may include:

  • Phonemic awareness and decoding

  • Reading fluency

  • Spelling and written language

  • Reading comprehension and academic language

  • One-on-one sessions allow for targeted pacing, immediate feedback, and instruction that responds directly to student progress.

Small Group Literacy Therapy

Small group sessions provide structured literacy instruction in a supportive peer setting. Groups are intentionally small and carefully formed based on skill level to ensure each student receives meaningful attention.

Students benefit from:

  • Explicit instruction and guided practice

  • Opportunities to apply skills with peers

  • A supportive environment that builds confidence

  • Small group therapy may be recommended based on student needs and learning goals.

Literacy Screening Services

Literacy screenings provide a clear picture of a child’s current reading and language skills. At Elevate Literacy Therapy, screenings are designed to identify strengths, areas of need, and patterns that may be impacting reading development.

Each literacy screening includes a 2-hour, one-on-one session using targeted, research-based literacy assessments. Skills assessed may include phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and other foundational literacy skills. Screenings are appropriate for students who are struggling with reading, not progressing as expected, or whose parents have concerns about reading development.

Following the screening, parents receive a written summary report that explains results in clear, family-friendly language. A follow-up meeting is also included to review findings, answer questions, and discuss what the results mean for the child’s learning.

Literacy screenings are informational in nature and are intended to guide understanding and next steps rather than provide a formal diagnosis.

Dyslexia Support

We provide specialized literacy intervention for students with dyslexia and other reading-based learning differences. Instruction is explicit, systematic, and grounded in current reading research.

Support focuses on:

  • Strengthening foundational reading skills

  • Developing spelling and written language

  • Building confidence and independence as a reader

Progress Monitoring & Communication

Student progress is monitored regularly to ensure instruction is effective and responsive. Families receive clear communication about skill development, progress, and next steps.
