About Me

Hi, I’m Susan DiBlasio, the owner and lead therapist at Elevate Literacy Therapy. I’m a literacy specialist with over 30 years of experience in education, and I’m passionate about helping students build the reading skills they need to feel confident and capable.

I currently serve as a Special Education Reading Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA), supporting teachers and students with science-based, structured literacy instruction. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both general and special education, supporting students with dyslexia and other reading challenges. I believe that struggling readers benefit most from explicit, systematic instruction that is grounded in research and tailored to each student’s needs.

As the owner of Elevate Literacy Therapy, I set the vision and standards for our practice, ensuring that we provide high-quality, evidence-based literacy instruction in a supportive, student-centered environment. My goal is to help every student reach their full potential as a reader and writer, while partnering closely with families and school teams to maximize success.

I work with students from second grade through adulthood, providing targeted literacy therapy that focuses on skill development, progress monitoring, and steady growth. I approach every learner with a student-centered mindset and a commitment to instruction that is clear, supportive, and effective.
